This week we recieved an email from Chip’s adopted family. Chip, in case you don’t remember, was a tiny little bun who came to our Center in the summer of 2011. Chip, named for his resemblance to a chipmunk, had been picked by Animal Control and brought to our shelter. He was only 3 pounds but chuck full of personally! He was adopted by a loving family and given a new lease on life.
We were thrilled to hear good news of Chip, who has since been renamed, Toby. Success stories such as his are why we are involved in rescue work and why we feel our organization is so very important.
Below is the letter from Toby’s forever family. We appreciate them sharing it with us and allowing us to share it with you!
“Dear Rose and all the wonderful people at GHRS,
I just wanted to give you a quick update on our darling bunny Toby (formally known by GHRS as Chip). After losing two bunnies way too soon, I am happy to report that my heart is full again! Toby is a three-pound brown ball of personality who pushes everyone around, keeps the cats in line, and generally rules the roost. And I am loving every minute of it! Thank you so much for helping complete our family!
Rebecca, David, Chan, and Toby
P.S. I am including photos of Toby because he is just SO adorable. (My unbiased opinion!)”
