Love is in the air!! Athena and her new partner got along famously and the adoption has been finalized. We are so happy for Athena. Not only does she get to have wonderful human parents and a safe, loving home, she also has herself a bunny friend to live with! It doesn’t get any better for a bunny than this. We would like to thank her adopters for choosing the GHRS for their new bunny and we wish the whole family lots of luck and many wonderful years together!
Trial Bonding: Cross your fingers! Pretty girl, Athena is in a trial bonding. What is does that mean you ask? Trial bonding means that a bunny is testing out the potential for a relationship with another bunny. During the trial bonding period, the adoptable bun is taken to their new potential home and observed. If both bunnies take to each other and bond, the adoption becomes permanent. Since the relationship is determined by the rabbits and not us people, it is hard to say for certain if it will work out. Because of the possibility the rabbit might be returned, we do not officially list them as adopted during this time. If you are interested in this particular bun, please check back for updates!
Original Post: Athena is a beautiful white New Zealand girl! She is about 6 months old but quite a shy young girl. She would be a great bun for someone who wants to hold and carry her around. Like all buns, she is a big fan of love and attention. Since she is a bit shy it will take the right caring person to get her to open up and show you her fun side but when she does, like when she is out for playtime, she has a lot of fun! Athena likes having space to bounce around and explore so she’ll need lots of room in her new home.
