Little Bandit had a very sad story before coming to our Rabbit Center. Badly injured, we know he went through a great deal of suffering. Bandit had a lot of healing to do after he got to our shelter and spent a good amount of time in foster care learning to trust again and overcome his injuries.
We are happy to report that Bandit now has himself a forever home! We are so happy for Bandit. He had such a terrible past and deserved so much more. We are glad to report that he will be getting the care he needs and the love and affection he deserves from now on!
Original Post: Some of you may remember the story of Bandit, a badly injured bunny who was rescued by the GHRS some months ago. Though we were never really sure what Bandit’s sad story was, he seemed to be badly burned and underwent surgery to help him heal and mend.
The healing continued on through the compassionate care of our volunteers. Bandit was taken in by one of our foster homes and has spent time recuperating and learning to trust again. We feel he is now ready for adoption into a caring home.
Bandit will need someone with patience and understanding of his past tramua. Though he’s actually quite well behaved and good with his litter box, and not a destructive chewer, he has some aggression issues when feeling cornered. Bandit will need some extra space to make his home in to calm his nerves and avoid any terrioriral issues he might have when confined in a small space.
If you think you are the right fit for Bandit and would like to give a bunny a real second chance at life, please contact us at the shelter. Right now Bandit is in his foster home where he feels most comfortable, so arrangements would have to be made to bring him to the shelter for a meet and greet.
