I remember the day Butters and Oreo came to the Rabbit Center. In fact, I fostered these 2 buns for a short period of time. Due to their poor health, they needed lots of medical attention and spent the next few months going back and forth to the vet. There was lots of concern over these two buns and lots of care given to them along the way.
I am so thrilled to now share that not only are the two doing wonderfully these days but that they have been adopted into a responsible and caring home! As we have from the start, we wish Butters and Oreo nothing but the best of everything, including long, happy and healthy lives!!
Original Post: Meet Butters and Oreo, a very handsome set of bunnies. These two lovable guys are playful and friendly and most of all, they love their food! Butters and Oreo were returned to us in very poor health. The person who adopted them didn’t give them enough exercise time and did not follow good guidelines for feeding, so they both were very overweight. Poor Oreo had such a bad case of sludge that it took 2 bladder surgeries to get rid of it. They required a lot of attention, love and medical intervention but we were determined to save these two.
They are now healthy again and getting in shape with lots of hopping around. Oreo can do some pretty great binkies now that he can launch himself off the ground again! Both are friendly and sweet natured and will make loving additions to your family. They can still stand to slim up a bit, but then again, can’t most of us? They are being fostered with Ronda, so please give us a little notice if you want to meet them.
