This little bun seemed to win over many many hearts and we have been getting many emails and phone calls from people looking to meet her. Though news of a successful adoption is usually welcome on the site, I fear we are breaking many hearts by announcing that sweet little Cherie is no longer available. Have no fear though! There are many MANY buns at the Center waiting for a person to come along and fall in love with them. And each bun is cuter than the next. We currently have many bunnies at the shelter who aren’t yet listed on the website, so please don’t let Cherie’s adoption discourage you from visit the Rabbit Center! You never know which bun will tug at your heart strings so it’s best to meet them all and see which one calls to you.
Original Post: This darling is Cherie. She is a snuggle bun, neat in her pen and litter box, does flying binky’s when out to play, and absolutely must go to a home where she will get long sessions of petting. That’s her favorite thing in the whole world. So if you like to sit and snuggle and watch TV, or hold a book with one hand and pet with the other, this is your bunny! If you are away a lot and want an independent gal, then keep looking. She would probably do well with a boy partner, as long as he wanted to groom her, a lot.
Some rabbits just don’t do well in a shelter environment, and Cherie is one of those rabbits. She became sad and didn’t want to eat, so she went into Ronda’s foster home, and is much happier there with more room to play. If you would like to meet her, please ask several days in advance to give us a chance to bring her in. It’s in her best interst to by-pass the shelter and go straight into her forever home.
