Pretty little Papaya had a bit of a rough start, but she hasn’t let that keep her from being one of the sweetest buns we know. She is still very young (less than one year), but grown up enough to have shed any rebelliousness. A bit shy at first, Papaya quickly warms up to gentle humans who show her there’s nothing to fear (bonus points if said humans offer a teeny piece of banana) and who will quietly stroke her soft little head while she purrs contentedly. Her foster mom tells us that Papaya is a little binky machine and a regular runner in the Bunny 500, so her forever family can look forward to frequent and lively entertainment! We also hear that Papaya is an excellent litter box user and has no bad habits like digging at carpet. Papaya would be great in a quiet home where she is given plenty of exercise. Since coming to the shelter, our volunteers have been drawn to Papaya, she’s just so sweet! She’s very clean in her pen, likes to hop around and see what’s going on with everyone and every bun, and loves to “periscope”, aka stand up on her hind legs, so she can see what you’re doing. She loves her treats, and really enjoys her stuffed animals. We suspect she’s a snuggle bun! She loves when playtime comes around, she goes from laidback and relaxed to full of energy. She just hops and bops ’til her heart’s content. She really looks forward to our volunteers’ visits – can’t wait for head rubs, treats, and playtime with toys and new friends!
