Three cheers for Pepe!! Not only has Pepe found himself a forever home, he has found himself love! His trial bonding was a success and he fell in love with the little girl bun he was introduced to. Now Pepe is living in comfort and with wonderful company and we couldn’t be happier! Trial Bonding: Pepe is currently in a trial bonding! Trial bonding means that a bunny is testing out the potential for a relationship with another bunny. During the trial bonding period, the adoptable bun is taken to their new potential home and observed. If both bunnies take to each other and bond, the adoption becomes permanent. Since the relationship is determined by the rabbits and not us people, it is hard to say for certain if it will work out. Because of the possibility the rabbit might be returned, we do not officially list them as adopted during this time. If you are interested in this particular bun, please check back for updates! Original Post: Meet Pepe Le Pew, a darling little black and white bun. Pepe was born in the Cherokee Animal Shelter after his pregnant mom was abandoned. There only a few days, mama bun gave birth to a litter and the NGHRS was called in to help. Pepe and his siblings were raised by one of the NGHRS’s Chapter Managers and was given much love and attention. He is a silly and feisty bun who was given good care and much socialization. Pepe is now ready for her forever home!
