He came to live with us in May 2008, when his first forever home changed its mind. It was a day for celebration. Upon arrival, he was knighted & became officially known as, His Highness, Utah, Duke of Bowen because our world revolved around him. He and Whitney became husbun & wife in July 2010, after just one date when SHE decided he was HERS. The celebration was delayed for 3 days till he came around & decided she could stay. We shared a baby carrot in honor of the day and she officially assumed her new title, Her Highness, Whitney, Duchess of Bowen.
On their anniversary in July 2011 he was not feeling his usual spunky self but we had a subdued anniversary party & shared a grape or two. We found out on a trip to the Vet for a checkup that it was not good but it turned out to be really, really bad. A no win situation, a Thymoma that had taken up almost all the space in his chest his lungs needed, he was having breathing difficulties and couldn’t eat much. Because there was no cure, and he would only have gotten worse, we stayed with him as the Doctor helped him cross the Bridge on September 30, 2010. It was a day of despair. It was the right thing to do but still not easy to accept.
Breathe easy & Binky Free, my wonderful biggy boy. You made us so very happy and we will miss you forever…………… See you when we get there.
Love & Kisses,
Mom & Whitney
