Our little Ewok of a bunny, Teddy, has been adopted! And not only has he scored himself a forever home and a bunny girlfriend, but he scored THE BEST home ever! Our own Chapter Manger, Edie, adopted this furry little sweetie pie! Known as the “Bunny Whisperer,” Edie is a dedicated champion of rabbit’s rights and welfare, one of the most knowledgeable educators, and a wonderful, caring and generous woman! We know that Teddy has found himself the safest, most loving home possible and will live a life full of affection and great care!
Congrats to our Edie, Teddy and her bun Tilly! We wish you all many MANY happy and healthy years together!
Original Post: Teddy was brought to us by a concerned GHRS volunteer. He had been living outdoors for quite sometime and was struggling to endure the heat of the summer, a very dangerous thing for such a thick coated bunny. Poor Teddy was so full of mats that he had to be shaved when he got to the Center. He sat so still while clumps of tangled dirty fur were cut off his body. Much to our surprise, he endlessly kissed his groomer during the whole procedure. Perhaps he knew he was being helped and was showing his appreciation? His patience and displays of affection were heartwarming and we all fell in love with him immediately. Teddy was soon cleaned up, went through his rounds of medical care and placed up for adoption.
Teddy is on a mission. He has things to do, rabbits to see, and places to explore. Teddy is a curious and silly little lionhead who wants to check out EVERYTHING. He would love an active family who will give him places to explore, build box forts with him, tunnels to run through, and furniture to hide under. Teddy will need some extra attention thanks to his thick, long coat. Grooming will be a part of his daily routine to help keep anymore mats from forming! If you are able to handle this extra bit of work, you will be rewarded with the company of a fantastic, gorgeous, silly and affectionate bun!
